What does an art class look like?
Art class will start with a drawing exercise as students arrive then it will shift into the project we are working on. Projects will be drawing or painting the same image in order to teach them how to paint and draw, build a foundation of art, as well as learn from each other. We most often use Acrylic paint, Graphite, and Charcoal. Each art class teaches and reinforces the principles and elements of art, letting it become a natural part of the class. On occasion, everyone may be working on individual projects that is self guided with my support when needed.
How often do student bring home their art work?
Students may spend anywhere from 1 week to 6+ weeks on a project. Making art takes time, because of this students may not take art home every week. It takes time to learn and build skill. It may take more time if students pick their own projects and get to lead their own way. Student will bring home finished pieces when they are ready to be adored.
Who is your ideal student?
Kids ages 7-12 who can sit still in a chair, listen to instruction, and loves art!
What is your make up policy?
If you miss a class you will still be charged for the class. I do not have a make-up policy at this time. This holds your child's spot in the class as well as pay for supplies since class size is kept small in order to give quality instructor time. Thank you for understanding and supporting my small women owned business.
Is class held on a holiday?
No there is not class on a holiday.
How does pick up and drop off work?
Since art class is held at my home studio, drop your kids and have them knock on my door and I will let them in. Make sure to watch your kid walk into my home before driving off. And then be here when its time to pick the students up and I will send them out to their cars. If it is warm outside we will wait inside or outside and if it is cold we will wait inside and I will send the kids out when their ride gets here. If class is from 4:15-5:15, then expect to pick kids up around 5:15-5:20pm, sometimes cleaning up art takes time! Any students picked up after 5:30 will be charged $20 late fee.
